Evening, bitches. It's that time again. New chapter of Bury Everyone, more ramblings and status updates and shit.

Probably the longest I've spent on a single chapter (not including the first) since this series started. It's not AS long as chapter 6 but it felt like ages. There were points I was convinced it would never get done. If you work on a project like this of your own, you know it's good when you spend so long on something that the first few pages start to look ugly halfway through. Agony, agony.

These action chapters are probably the most difficult for me to work on because it feels like there's no breaks, but #6 is still one of my favourites. If I could do all of these again, I'd cut off the end of #6, combine that with the first half of #7 and then maybe split #8 again so the last bit of it would become #9 but ay. Maybe it's better for people finding this series YEARS down the line that it's all in one bit. I know I hate having to click "next" a lot when reading comics/manga 100% legally.

To all those people who ask me "when is Mildew going to show up in Bury Everyone?" I hope you're happy.

So what took this thing so long?

A few things. Again, I find action sequences a little exhausting to draw for reasons I listed above, but also I was house-sitting for my grandparents and when I got home, Doom: The Dark Ages and two chapters of Deltarune came out. Also, a festive painted Dragon's Fury appeared in my Team Fortress 2 inventory and I wanted to take it for a spin (wonder how that got there...)

Basically I needed a break and all this cool shit came out so I got a little too distracted. It happens. I also may have a new job coming up in the near future. We'll see.

Usually when I do these I give some kind of health update so here's what's going on with Grumpy's Multiple Sclerosis.

It's fine.

I wanted to get this chapter done before they put me on the strong stuff and I have no idea what that's going to be like, but it'll probably wipe me out, so I have no idea when #9 will be finished. It'll be a little shorter and less demanding than this one at least. For now, I'm glad I don't have to draw Misery and all his fucking arms. My biggest regret for this arc is probably making his design so complicated, but I went into this with the idea that sprouts get bigger and more grotesque the more powerful they become (until they don't) so that's just my life now. I'm not quite done with him yet so I'll have to suffer a little longer, unfortunately.

Thanks everyone who donates to the Patreon! I was seriously expecting a bunch of people to stop reading after #7 but I've seen a lot of new names this cycle. Maybe I'm doing something right with my sad comic where sometimes some stupid rad shit happens.
